March of Giants Next Playtest — Facts and Unknowns

The next announced March of Giants playtest is the Pioneer Playtest, scheduled for October 7–18, 2026. The saved official announcement gives a start time of 16:00 CEST on October 7 and describes access in North America and selected European countries. A full country-by-country eligibility list and guaranteed access for every applicant are Not confirmed.

The Steam playtest entry offers Request Access and says applicants will be notified when more participants can join. The official announcement says players who participated in the September 2025 Closed Alpha are already invited and do not need to apply again. Requesting a place and being included in the test are therefore separate states.

The announcement says the game will appear in the library when the playtest begins, ready to download and play. It also permits streaming, recording and sharing game content from this test. This description belongs to the announced Pioneer test and is not a blanket statement about every future test.

The announcement describes earning points through participation and matches toward Pioneer status. Listed rewards include a profile badge, a permanent Giant unlock available from October 12, a Premium Early Access package, a banner and an avatar. The point thresholds and identity of the reward Giant are Not confirmed in the saved material, so the list does not imply that every participant automatically receives every reward.

An official YouTube premiere is scheduled for October 7 at 18:00 CEST. That is later than the announced playtest start and should not be confused with the download time. Its playable content was not available for review when these sources were collected.
